The Team
WHO ARE THE RAYS? The Riverdale Rays is a community-based swim team that desires to help young people develop in their character, sportsmanship, and physical fitness as they grow in their swimming abilities, while competing against other neighborhood swim teams as a part of the Greater Peninsula Swim Association (GPSA). All children from 5-18 years of age are able to participate, no matter what their ability to swim is at the beginning of the season.
A typical summer season begins at the end of May and runs through the first weekend of August.
We understand that summertime is prime family vacation time so don't hesitate to join even if it means missing a week or so of the season. Skill and friendships can still grow immensely during this time.
Members do not have to reside in the neighborhood in order to join.
Please see links under "Become A Ray" for more team information.

The Board
The Riverdale Rays Swim Association governs the Riverdale Rays Swim Team.
The Board consists of parent volunteers who desire to provide a positive team experience for the swimmers.
This is accomplished with the joint support of the Riverdale Recreation Association (RRA) and its work to maintain the neighborhood pool, providing a safe and fun place for the Riverdale youth and families.
Board positions include:
President, Vice President, GPSA representative, Secretary, Treasurer, Fundraising Chair, and members-at-large.
Other non-board parents are always welcomed, and needed, to come alongside and help with various other tasks throughout each season, such as, Concession Stand oversight, T-shirt sales, End of the Season Celebration, etc.
Please contact us if you have any interest in serving the team in a specific way!
